About me:
I was born in Zambia in 1953, moved to South Africa with my parents in 1964. Grandma taught me to crochet when I was 9, now am an expert. Just completed a table cloth with various Proteas (SA traditional flower) - absolutely beautiful. Was only an average student, never really stood out above the rest, but had a happy childhood and wonderful parents. I have 4 children of which the eldest is 33 and the youngest 15.

Spooky Witches Fingers

Reviewed on Oct. 27, 2008 by Tails
This is a great recipe thats easy enough for a beginner to make! I made it for my mom's gym halloween party and they were a huge hit (they even took some home to show their families). I use metric measurements, and didnt have almond extract (its too expensive here in SA) so I used almond essence instead, of which I'll use a little less next time :P

Absolutely Best Brownies

Reviewed on Jun. 24, 2008 by Debbie1984
I'm giving this full marks, because if i was able to make them properly they would have been fantastic. it was really quick to mix together and wasnt long til i popped it in the oven, putting it on top grill!! which resulted in my 'brownies'baked to a crispy crunch on top and a sticky chocolatey pudding thingy at the bottom. if i had put the oven (which i've never used before) correctly they may have come out fantastic. i didn't have walnuts so just added some crushed peanuts instead. it was still fine. Fiance liked it though.. he thought it was some sort of chocolate pudding.. oh well better luck next time!
