Las Vegas, Nevada

It’s hard to believe that the city of Las Vegas was founded as recently as 1905. In that time, it has gone from dusty railroad town to glimmering “Entertainment Capital of the World,” whose population growth leads the country. Oh, Las Vegas, if Bugsy Siegel could see you now! While the dirt-cheap “all you can eat” buffets and free drinks that once lured hungry gamblers to the city can still be found, the city has gone decidedly upscale in recent years. Today, some of the world’s most famous chefs have opened restaurants in Sin City, flying in to the heart of the desert whatever rare and exotic ingredients their extravagant menus require, from French langoustines to Russian caviar. Locals, meanwhile, can be found far from the strip enjoying the wide array of restaurants serving ethnic and regional American favorites.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

They were a bit sweet -I would recommend cutting back on the grape jelly -possibly in half. I like sweet but these were even sweet for me. But otherwise great, yummy, thanks for the recipe!!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed on Jun. 30, 2008 by Rosa G
I am very fond of this meal. It's easy and fun. My kids and my husband like it well. The only thing I do differently is that instead of making my own meatballs, I buy the Italian style meatballs. They are perfectly seasoned for this dish. I also like to make these meatballs for appetizers with toothpicks inserted on each one for easy pickup.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

I really thought this was just so-so. Not much flavor, even though I added more salt. More seasoning would make it better. It was just too bland for me.
