Much like the N'awlins muffuletta, this is a large sandwich layered in a round loaf of crusty bread. You can be flexible and vary the cold cuts that you use according to personal preference! Must be done a day ahead, which makes for an easy serve.

I make this hearty soup using the ham bone from our Easter spiral ham. I serve it with corn muffins and fresh fruit. It makes a huge pot of soup, so invite some friends or just freeze several portions for later use. Remember to soak the beans the night before you make the soup.

I 'inherited' this recipe from the family that owned the building where I rented my first apartment. It's one of my favorites and very easy to prepare. It's great for company because you can mix the loaf in advance, then simply pour on the sauce before putting it in the oven...it's the sauce that makes it so good!

Tasso Ham

I used to make this in a restaurant where I worked. I have modified it for the home cook. You definitely need curing salt for this recipe. When you buy the pork butt, ask the butcher for the curing salt. Mine just gave me the salt I needed. I make this about twice a summer. It's the hit of any BBQ!!
